• FAHM UbeFest Returns for a Weekend of Filipino Flavor, Culture and Community — Asian Journal News (asianjournal.com) — Cerritos will host UbeFest FAHM 2026 this weekend, Oct. 3–4, in the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts parking lot, offering free admission. Residents can enjoy ube and mango treats, Filipino dishes, live performances, family activities, and dozens of Filipino-owned vendors and community groups, all organized with support from the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Cerritos and Gateway Cities.
   

• Women in Construction Program Summit: A Community Engagement Experience (talonmarks.com) — Cerritos-area residents interested in construction careers can spend November 4 at Cerritos College's Women in Construction Summit, a free, daylong event in Norwalk. You'll hear about apprenticeship pathways, the ERiCA Grant's support for women and non-binary participants, and local training options, while connecting with staff who can help you start or change careers.
   

• GATEWAY LEAGUE GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Cerritos completes season-series sweep against Gahr, moves closer to league title (loscerritosnews.net) — Cerritos High's girls volleyball team just swept rival Gahr again, putting the Dons on the brink of another league championship and extending a dominant multi-year run. Coach David Cuthbert is keeping the team focused on finishing the Gateway League schedule strong before the CIF-Southern Section playoffs begin.
