Cerritos to mark 40 years since deadly air disaster — The Downey Patriot (thedowneypatriot.com) — Cerritos will hold a public remembrance Monday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m. at the Air Disaster Memorial in the Cerritos Sculpture Garden to mark 40 years since the 1986 midair collision that killed 82 people. City officials and residents will gather at Bloomfield and 183rd to honor victims and reflect on an event that deeply shaped Cerritos' history. 
2. Bachman-Turner Overdrive Announce No Speed Limit Tour (antimusic.com) — Bachman-Turner Overdrive is bringing their 2027 "No Speed Limit Tour" to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on January 24, giving local classic rock fans a chance to see Randy Bachman's revamped lineup close to home. The tour spans the U.S., but Cerritos is one of only a handful of California dates, so expect strong demand when tickets go on sale.
3. Los Cerritos Community News Coloring Contest: Win Marinelli Bros. Circus Tickets! (loscerritosnews.net) — Local families can enter a Los Cerritos Community News coloring contest for a chance to win a family four-pack of Marinelli Bros. Circus tickets. Kids 13 and under can color the printed page, snap a photo, and upload it by September 10, with winners' first names and artwork possibly featured by the paper.
4. ICC Meeting (talonmarks.com) — Student club representatives at Cerritos College are required to attend the Inter-Club Council meeting on November 17 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on campus. The session will share key updates on policies, funding, and events while giving student leaders a chance to collaborate and shape campus life.
