1. Chico Council recap Sept 15th (kpay.com) — Chico's City Council has pushed its sewer rate hike hearing to Nov. 17 after receiving Proposition 218 protest letters from property owners. Councilmembers also debated, but postponed, creating an ad hoc committee to review an upcoming Chico Police report on automated license plate readers, opting to wait until after the department's presentation.

Local makers take over Chico Chaihouse in free fall pop-up Sept. 26 (actionnewsnow.com) — Chico residents can enjoy a free fall pop-up market at Chico Chaihouse on Saturday, Sept. 26, featuring local makers, live music, and free treats. Held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1441 Park Avenue, the event offers artisan goods, tea tastings, tarot readings, and even free live screen-printing of a Chico-themed logo.

Chico City Council delays sewer rate hike decision, seeks review of billing method (krcrtv.com) — Chico's proposed sewer rate hikes are on hold as the City Council ordered a review of how bills are calculated, after strong pushback from local restaurant owners. The public hearing will resume Nov. 17, and the outcome could significantly affect what Chico households and businesses pay to maintain the city's aging sewer system and treatment plant.
