Youths Sought For La Verne Police Explorers

LA VERNE, CA — The La Verne Police Department is looking for motivated young adults to join its explorer program.

The program caters to youths between 14 and 21 who are interested in a career in law enforcement. Explorers will work alongside La Verne police officers as they work on several tasks throughout the department, including answering phone calls and working community events, the agency said.

To qualify for the program, applicants must be in good physical health, attend bi-weekly meetings and maintain a C average at school and have a good attendance record.
