CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Three separate fires tore through parts of Contra Costa County overnight, sending crews to contain flames at homes and businesses in Concord and Orinda.

Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire in the 4000 block of Joan Avenue in Concord, where crews moved quickly to control the blaze and protect nearby properties.

A second call in Concord pulled responders to Knoll Drive, where a commercial building caught fire, adding pressure to already stretched overnight resources.
