• Renewable Energy Update 10.2.26 (jdsupra.com) — Coronado residents will soon see a major change in their electric service as the city officially joins San Diego Community Power, a nonprofit alternative to SDG&E that offers multiple renewable-heavy plans. Alongside statewide clean-energy moves, this shift means locals will be able to choose how green their electricity mix is and potentially adjust what they pay on future power bills.
   

• Spreckels Gallery call for artists for 'Reflections' exhibition (coronadotimes.com) — Coronado artists and photographers are invited to apply for the Cultural Arts Commission's "Reflections" exhibition at the Spreckels Gallery, pairing original photos with new 2-D artworks. Local creators 18 and older who meet Coronado artist eligibility can submit by November 6, 2026, for a show that will run at the John D. Spreckels Center from March through August 2027. • USS Abraham Lincoln carrier will return to San Diego area Thursday (kpbs.org) — Coronado residents will be able to watch the USS Abraham Lincoln return to San Diego Bay on Thursday from public spots like Coronado Dog Beach, even without base access. After nearly 300 days deployed in the Middle East, the carrier is due at Naval Air Station North Island around noon, capping a demanding mission marked by long stretches at sea and heavy flight operations.
