Rancho Bernardo High School students to be released early Thursday due to cooling system issues (10news.com) — Coronado Unified School District is among several San Diego-area districts adjusting schedules or taking extra precautions this week because of an intense heat wave. While Rancho Bernardo High is dismissing early due to AC problems, Coronado families should watch for heat-related schedule changes as advisories and an extreme heat watch continue across the region.
3. Chula Vista hires federal lobbyist, dropping Imperial Beach sewage crisis partnership for now (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Coronado is cited as one of the regional cities already lobbying federally on the ongoing Tijuana River Valley sewage crisis, alongside San Diego County and others. Chula Vista's council chose to hire its own federal lobbyist but delayed a cost-sharing partnership with Imperial Beach, saying they first want to coordinate with Coronado and other agencies on a unified strategy.
4.
