• 5th Suspect caught in Westfield Assault (culvercityobserver.com) — Culver City residents can breathe a little easier after police announced the arrest of a fifth and final suspect tied to a violent Aug. 31 robbery and assault at Westfield Culver City. Detectives used surveillance video and multi-city operations to track the juveniles and final adult suspect, underscoring CCPD's focus on pursuing violent offenders who target shoppers and families. 
• Industrial Area Near E Line Slated for Major Mixed-Use Overhaul (westsidecurrent.com) — Culver City residents now have a 30-day window, through Sept. 27, to review and comment on a sweeping Hayden Tract Specific Plan that would convert much of the industrial area near the E Line into mixed residential and commercial space. With public hearings starting in November, the city aims to add housing, jobs, and safer, transit-friendly streets as Culver City grows toward 2045.
