• O.J. Brigance, Other Black Celebs We Lost in 2026 (theroot.com) — Civil rights leader Clarence B. Jones, Martin Luther King Jr.'s adviser and speechwriter who helped craft the "I Have a Dream" speech, died in Cupertino at age 95. A Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, he later taught at Stanford and USF, while this broader tribute also remembers numerous Black cultural, sports, and music figures who passed away in 2026.
