Most are from Monte Vista High School, highlighting strong academic performance in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District and giving local families a reason to celebrate their students' achievements.
   

• Whole Foods could replace shuttered Lucky California at Danville shopping center (sfchronicle.com) — Whole Foods is in talks to take over the former Lucky California space at Sycamore Square in Danville, potentially filling a major grocery gap on San Ramon Valley Boulevard. The deal is still in a contingency period, but town planners say it appears to be moving forward, with interior demolition, modest exterior changes, and new EV chargers likely if it proceeds.
   

• 'I don't think anyone's safe': Community on edge after rash of burglaries in Pleasanton (danvillesanramon.com) — Recent burglaries in Pleasanton are being linked to a broader Tri-Valley crime trend that has already hit downtown Danville, where police are investigating more than a dozen break-ins from earlier this month. Pleasanton saw at least 18 businesses, mostly restaurants, hit in one morning, leaving owners shaken and calling for more visible police patrols as they worry similar incidents could spread.
