• 'The Wild West:' Still local concerns over too much pumping (recorderonline.com) — Water managers tied to the Delano-Earlimart Irrigation District warn that unchecked groundwater pumping in the Tule subbasin threatens the Friant-Kern Canal’s ability to deliver surface water to local farms. With a new Tule East groundwater agency still forming rules, growers and officials are clashing over how quickly to curb pumping to protect long-term water supplies. 
• CPUC Approves Over $18.2 Million for Broadband Infrastructure, Regional Planning, and Digital Inclusion Projects Across California (ca.gov) — Students at Wonderful College Prep Academy’s Delano campus will receive Chromebooks and digital literacy support thanks to a new $99,659 state grant aimed at closing the digital divide. The funding is part of a broader $18.2 million CPUC package expanding broadband infrastructure, regional planning, and technology access programs across California, with a special focus on underserved communities.
