Officials say the case underscores protections for vulnerable seniors, and residents are urged to report any suspected elder abuse to law enforcement or the county hotline. 
• South Coast AQMD Confirms Lineage Completes Bulk Food Waste Removal (vannuysnewspress.com) — South Coast AQMD, based in Diamond Bar, says Lineage Logistics has finished removing massive amounts of rotting food waste at its Boyle Heights facility, starting a seven-day window for disinfecting and final cleanup. Inspectors will keep monitoring odors and can impose tougher penalties if nuisance smells continue or cleanup rules are broken.
