• Granada Board Demands Budget Accountability After $6M in SAM Overruns (coastsidenews.com) — El Granada residents face tighter oversight of shared sewer spending and a proposed 5% sewer rate increase as the Granada Community Services District responds to years of project overruns. The board also reshaped the long-planned Granada Community Park to preserve informal parking near Surfers Beach and expanded funding for popular environmental education at El Granada Elementary. Expect more budget details and permit decisions in coming months. 
• San Mateo County 2026-27 Road Maintenance Project List Includes: Capistrano, Alhambra, Obispo, Mirada, Montara Main, Sea Cove, Miramar, Higgins and Cypress to 16th (coastsidebuzz.com) — Major San Mateo County road repairs are planned for key Midcoast streets, including Capistrano, Alhambra, Obispo, and Mirada that many El Granada residents use daily. Funded largely by state SB1 money, the 2026–27 projects aim to improve safety, emergency access, and long-term road conditions.
