Encinitas Chamber Honors 5 High School Seniors As Rising Stars (patch.com) — Encinitas residents can celebrate five outstanding high school seniors recognized as Rising Stars by the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce at MiraCosta College's San Elijo Campus. The program, run with San Dieguito Union High School District, honors character, leadership and community service, and makes these students eligible for scholarships to be awarded at the Encinitas Chamber's Salute to Education ceremony in May 2027.
   

2. Most Encinitas bridges rated satisfactory or better; $5.9M in repairs proposed (thecoastnews.com) — Encinitas' latest bridge inspection shows only two of 46 city-maintained bridges in poor condition, with most rated satisfactory or better, but a 10-year repair plan of about $5.9 million is recommended. Top priorities include reconstructing the aging San Elijo Creek Bridge on South Coast Highway 101 and fixing a deteriorating pedestrian bridge in Leucadia Oaks Park, with most other work focused on preventative maintenance.
   

3. Encinitas Oktoberfest back for 30th year (sandiegobeer.news) — Encinitas is gearing up for its 30th annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, September 27, turning Mountain Vista Drive into a free, family-friendly Bavarian-style street festival. Expect German music, beer gardens, kids' activities, dog costume contests, shuttles, bike valet, and dozens of local food and craft vendors celebrating the city's coastal and German roots.
   

4. Wavecrest Woodie Car Meet Weekend Encinitas, California (idrivesocal.com) — Encinitas will host the multi-day Wavecrest Woodie Car Meet Weekend September 17–20, with cruise night on Highway 101, a big Saturday gathering at Moonlight Beach, and a Sunday coastal cruise. Classic wood-bodied cars, social meetups, and relaxed beach-town vibes make this a major automotive happening right in town.
   

5. Between LA And San Diego Lies A Charming Beach City For Laid-Back Coastal Fun (planetware.com) — Encinitas gets a glowing spotlight as a laid-back coastal base between Los Angeles and San Diego, with Moonlight Beach, San Elijo Lagoon, and the San Diego Botanic Garden highlighted as must-see stops.
