Man accused of attacking victim with chainsaw in fight over parking space in Fallbrook (sandiegouniontribune.com) — A violent dispute over a parking space in a Fallbrook neighborhood left one person seriously injured after a 66-year-old man allegedly attacked with a chainsaw, causing severe cuts that may permanently disfigure the victim. Deputies responded to the Aug. 23 incident on Rice Canyon Road, and the suspect later surrendered at the Fallbrook sheriff's station. He now faces multiple felony allegations, including assault with a deadly weapon. 
2. Fallbrook Hombre arrestado por Agresion con motosierra - (thevistapress.com) — A Fallbrook-area suspect in a violent chainsaw assault in nearby Rainbow turned himself in this week at the Fallbrook Sheriff Substation and was booked on multiple felony charges. Investigators say 66-year-old Gregory Texeira cooperated with detectives, providing statements and potential evidence before being taken to the Vista Detention Facility. Residents may notice heightened law-enforcement attention around this serious case.
3. Road Projects Improving Safety Near Schools (countynewscenter.com) — County road crews recently completed new crosswalks and flashing beacons to improve student safety at several schools, including James Potter Intermediate on Reche Road in Fallbrook. The upgrades add marked crossings, signage, ramps, and rapid flashing beacons to help drivers better see pedestrians as traffic increases with the new school year.
4.
