• California Cracks Down on E-Motos, Youth E-Bike Riders With New Laws (kqed.org) — New California e-bike laws could soon change how kids ride in Foster City, including a San Mateo County pilot that lets cities temporarily ban Class I and II e-bikes for children under 12. Foster City Councilmember Stacy Jimenez says she's eager to use this tool locally to improve youth safety. The laws also tighten rules on high-speed e-motos and add future speedometer and sidewalk-speed requirements.
