SAN JOSE, CA — A Bay Area woman was killed when her car suddenly plunged five stories from a parking lot in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Friday afternoon, police said.
Police say the 84-year-old woman was driving northbound on the fifth floor of a private parking lot at a condominium complex in Honolulu just before 2:30 p.m. when she went through a retaining wall.
It's unclear what caused the woman to strike and breach the wall, but she fell five stories before the vehicle landed on its roof, the Honolulu Police Department said.
