What is your professional background?

I bring 20 years of leadership in IT. Alongside my tech career, I have dedicated two decades to grassroots mental health advocacy, founded and scaled a non-profit organization from the ground up, and run a local music school.

Serve as Human Relation Commissioner and senior peer counselor with City of Fremont.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health, I combine executive technical management with hands-on community care to deliver balanced, empathetic, and accountable leadership.

Have you ever held public office, whether appointive or elective?

I serve as Human Relations Commissioner with City Of Fremont

What are the top three issues facing Fremont's District 4 right now?

1. Homelessness: I advocate for upstream prevention, supportive housing, continuous case management, and targeted behavioral health and substance-use treatment to end the cycle between shelters and emergency rooms. Strengthening coordination between Fremont, Alameda County, hospitals, and local non-profits is essential. I support bridge-to-employment programs to restore financial independence, tracking progress through clear, measurable outcomes.

2. Public Safety & Community Partnerships Public safety requires collaboration among residents, schools, first responders, and local government. I prioritize modern neighborhood and traffic safety measures: safer school zones, optimized signal timing, and targeted speed mitigation.

3. Environmental sustainability that includes expanding urban tree canopies via methods like Miyawaki micro-forests, enhancing first-and-last-mile transit connections, and introducing on-demand public shuttles for lower-density routes to cut emissions efficiently.

What is one specific action you would prioritize during your first year as a council member?

During my first year, I will establish a City-Led Mental Health & Wellness Taskforce to unite Fremont’s non-profits, healthcare providers, Alameda County agencies, and schools.

Mental health challenges lie at the root of so many critical community issues, from homelessness and substance use to youth distress, public safety concerns, and senior isolation. We cannot resolve these problems without directly addressing their primary cause.

My specific priority will be expanding accessible, continuum-of-care partnerships tailored to every stage of life: early intervention for young children, school-based support for teens, preventative counseling and workforce resilience for adults, and targeted outreach to combat loneliness among older adults and seniors.

Equally vital is leading from City Hall to normalize mental health care. By using the council platform for sustained public dialogue, workshops, and multilingual outreach, I will work to dismantle the cultural stigma around seeking help.

Why do you feel you're a better candidate than your opponent?

What sets me apart is a proven, twenty-year commitment to serving Fremont directly on the ground.

I am the only candidate with two decades of hands-on community volunteer experience, including building a non-profit organization from the ground up to support our residents.

I don't just study local issues from a distance; I have worked directly alongside our neighbors to solve them.
Professionally, my background in IT leadership equips me with an analytical, results-driven mindset, enabling me to scrutinize complex city budgets, evaluate operational data, and deliver pragmatic, efficient solutions.

Through my extensive public service, I pair this analytical discipline with deep empathy and an attentive ear for the everyday challenges facing our families.

This blend of grassroots empathy and technical problem-solving is exactly what City Hall needs.

I will bring thoughtful, data-backed, and community-first leadership to the daily issues that impact Fremont residents most.
