The case, led by California and Santa Clara County, challenges the project over community consultation and environmental concerns, and could shape how local governments push back against future ICE facilities.

Gilroy dispatcher recalls deployment to World Trade Center after 9/11 attacks (ksbw.com) — A longtime Gilroy 9‑1‑1 dispatcher is sharing what it was like to be deployed to Ground Zero with California's Urban Search and Rescue Task Force after the 9/11 attacks.
