1. Four arrested during transient enforcement sweep in coastal OC (newsantaana.com) — Huntington Beach police made four arrests in a three‑hour transient enforcement sweep, uncovering fentanyl, meth residue, stolen financial documents, and outstanding warrants in beach and commercial areas. The department says such proactive operations target a small group of repeat offenders driving much of the city's transient‑related crime, and offers practical tips residents can use to reduce theft and property damage.
   

2. Turtle eggs are moved to the LB Aquarium of the Pacific (orangecountytribune.com) — Olive ridley sea turtle eggs laid on Huntington Beach and in the Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge have been carefully moved to the Aquarium of the Pacific to protect them. Officials acted ahead of Hurricane Polo's surf and the loud Pacific Airshow over Huntington Beach, hoping the eggs will safely hatch in early November under expert care.
   

3. Orange County scores and player stats for Saturday, Sept. 26 (ocregister.com) — Huntington Beach boys water polo split two games at the S&R Sport/Foothill Invite on Saturday, falling to Bellarmine but bouncing back with a win over Carlsbad. The roundup lists scores from several Orange County tournaments, giving local fans a quick snapshot of how nearby high school teams performed across the region.
   

4. Weekly roundup: Westminster High students harvest watermelons for OC Food Bank, and more (ocde.us) — Students at Westminster High, part of the Huntington Beach Union High School District, just wrapped up their ninth annual watermelon harvest at the Giving Farm, sending thousands of pounds of produce to the OC Food Bank. The roundup also highlights other Orange County education stories, from student film awards to attendance concerns in early grades and evolving transitional kindergarten programs.
