• Natural Dyes Merge with Mixed Media in Annalise Neil's Dreamy Cyanotypes (thisiscolossal.com) — Annalise Neil is spending this year as a resident artist at the Volcan Mountain Foundation in Julian, creating dreamy cyanotypes inspired by local landscapes, plants, and wildlife. She layers traditional blue prints with natural dyes from botanicals like strawberry leaves and chestnut to produce earthy, reflective mixed-media works. Her process begins with long hikes and close observation of the region’s natural details.
