City To Host Promenade On Forest Celebration This Month: What To Know (patch.com) — Laguna Beach residents are invited downtown on Friday, Sept. 25 for a ribbon-cutting celebration marking the opening of The Promenade on Forest. Mayor Mark Orgill will kick off the evening, which features live music from band 133 and special offers from local shops along Forest Avenue.
   

2. Supergroup Rainbow Body goes 091526 (stunewslaguna.com) — Laguna Beach's Irvine Bowl will host a new Concerts in the Canyon series this October, highlighted by supergroup Rainbow Body's first-ever live show during the Coast Film & Music Festival. Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Aloe Blacc, Ben Harper, Amos Lee and others will also perform over two weekends, with tickets and festival passes already on sale for local music fans.
   

3. Laguna Beach Prepares For Kelvin Wave Expected To Raise Sea Levels Along SoCal Coast (patch.com) — Laguna Beach officials are closely monitoring a coastally trapped Kelvin wave expected to raise local sea levels by 6 to 12 inches in early October, increasing flood and erosion risks after recent storm damage. Marine Safety and Public Works are coordinating with federal agencies, tracking tides daily, and urging residents—especially along the oceanfront—to stay informed, avoid rocks and waterlines during high tides, and prepare now.
   

4. The 2026 Pro Season's Last Stop (avp.com) — Laguna Beach hosts the season-ending Progressive AVP Laguna Open from September 18–20 at 175 N Coast Hwy, with free admission and top men's and women's beach volleyball teams competing. Local fans can watch qualification Friday, then packed main-draw action Saturday and Sunday, or stream matches on Bally Sports Live while enjoying the sport's longest‑running tournament right in town.
