215 Freeway Lane Closure Triggers Traffic Jam In Riverside County

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A lane closure on the southbound 215 Freeway between Van Buren Boulevard and Harley Knox Boulevard near Moreno Valley caused a traffic backup Wednesday morning as crews performed sign work, according to Caltrans.

One of the freeway's three general-purpose lanes was closed for the work, which was expected to be completed by 2:01 p.m. Wednesday, the agency said.

Around 9:30 a.m., traffic was backed up near the work zone as motorists approached Harley Knox Boulevard.

Traffic was also backed up on the northbound 215 Freeway near the transition to the 60 Freeway, just beyond Alessandro Boulevard.

Drivers traveling through the area were advised to anticipate delays while the work was underway.
