Brush Fire Scorches 30 Acres In Menifee: Cal Fire

MENIFEE, CA — Fire crews were battling a fast-moving brush fire that charred 30 acres Thursday afternoon in Menifee, fire officials said.

The blaze was reported around 3:45 p.m. near Pacific Bluff and Brentworth streets, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters were on scene when the fire burned light brush and spread at a moderate speed, fire officials said.

Around 4:45 p.m., air and ground crews were making "good progress with hose lays and aircraft dropping retardant and water," fire officials said.

Around 5:30 p.m., the fire was holding at 30 acres and 25 percent containment, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

No injuries or evacuations were reported.
