Driver Rushed To RivCo Hospital After Single-Vehicle Crash: CHP
Authorities said the vehicle collided with a drainage ditch.
HEMET, CA — A motorist was hospitalized Friday after a solo vehicle crash in Hemet.
The crash was reported about 11:10 a.m. Friday on Soboba Street north of Buenos Aires Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 2007 Honda Fit was traveling in the southbound lane at when the driver made an unsafe turning movement for unknown reasons, resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway and colliding with a drainage ditch.

The driver, identified only as a 25-year-old man from Hemet, sustained major injuries and was taken to Riverside University Health System.
It was not immediately known if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the crash, which remained under investigation.
