Man Killed On 91 Freeway In Corona After Leaving Disabled Truck

CORONA, CA — A man was killed after leaving his disabled truck and being struck by two vehicles in Corona, and the fatality remained under investigation Saturday.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to a report of a vehicle blocking the No. 2 lane of the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway FasTrak lanes, west of Promenade Avenue, at 10:28 p.m. Friday.

The man left his disabled truck and ran to the No. 1 lane of the main freeway lanes before he was struck by a Honda HRV, according to KTLA5. He was then also run over by a Honda Civic, according to the report.

The CHP temporarily closed all lanes on the eastbound freeway.
