Menifee Man Killed In Rollover Crash Near Lake Elsinore: CHP
For unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled off the northern roadway edge and overturned down the embankment, authorities said.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The driver killed in a rollover crash on Highway 74 near Lake Elsinore on Wednesday afternoon was identified as a Menifee resident, authorities announced on Thursday.
The 23-year-old motorist sustained fatal injuries after his Honda Civic crashed around 1:30 p.m. off the roadway and down the embankment on Highway 74, west of the waterfall, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the man was driving westbound on Highway 74, also known as Ortega Highway, at an unknown speed. For unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled off the northern roadway edge and overturned down the embankment.
Rescue crews responded to the scene and pronounced the driver dead.

CHP said the collision is being investigated by the agency.
