Maintenance Crews To Alternate Lane Closures On 15 Freeway In RivCo Sept. 17: Caltrans (patch.com) — Drivers in Lake Elsinore should prepare for alternating lane closures on the 15 Freeway between the county line and Nichols Road during a sweeping operation on Sept. 17. Both northbound and southbound lanes, including shoulders and the center median, will be affected from late morning into midafternoon. Motorists are urged to slow down, watch for crews, and allow extra travel time.

Former NASCAR Driver Boris Said Behind Luxury Country Club and Racetrack Plans in Lake Elsinore (kabc.com) — A massive luxury motorsports project called the Elsinore Ring is being proposed right in Lake Elsinore, featuring a 3.2-mile, 22-turn racetrack, country club, and 275 garage condos. Backed by retired NASCAR driver Boris Said, the private club would target high-end racing enthusiasts, with memberships around $300,000, and is now in environmental review ahead of a possible 2027 construction start.

Family Of Celeste Rivas Hernandez Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against D4vd As They Reportedly Share Support For Death Penalty (ground.news) — Lake Elsinore neighbors recently gathered for a candlelight vigil honoring teenager Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against singer D4vd after his arrest. Her relatives are also publicly supporting the death penalty if he is convicted, while pursuing compensation for the harm caused by her death.

Padres Minor League Report: Storm Sweep Cal League Semifinals As Coleman Borthwick Debuts (padresmission.com) — Lake Elsinore baseball fans can celebrate as the Low-A Storm swept Ontario 6–1 to reach the California League finals, powered by strong pitching from top Padres prospects. The team will host San Jose in a best-of-three series at The Diamond starting Sunday, while other Padres affiliates in El Paso and San Antonio suffered close losses.
