Southbound 15 Freeway Reopens In Lake Elsinore After Multi-Vehicle Crash
The crash was reported just before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A multi-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on southbound Interstate 15 in Lake Elsinore completely blocked traffic, before reopening more than 90 minutes later.
The crash involving five to six vehicles was reported just before 6:30 p.m. at Railroad Canyon Road, according to preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol.
The preliminary data indicated a driver lost control and struck multiple vehicles.

An update on possible injuries was unavailable.
All lanes remained blocked as of 7:45 p.m., but shortly before 8 p.m. one traffic lane was reopened.

All lanes were cleared at 8:10 p.m., according to the CHP.
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department was at the scene, according to Captain John Clingingsmith.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
