Teen Killed, Man Hospitalized In Riverside County Shooting

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A man was arrested on suspicion of murder after a shooting left a 17-year-old boy dead and an 18-year-old man injured in Moreno Valley, authorities said.
Deputies responded about 6:36 p.m. Thursday to the 13000 block of Glorybower Street after a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
Two males later arrived at a local fire station with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a hospital, where the 17-year-old was pronounced dead. The 18-year-old remained hospitalized in stable condition.

Investigators identified 52-year-old Manuel Gomez of Moreno Valley as the suspect. He was arrested without incident Friday in the 13000 block of Glorybower Street and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of murder.
The sheriff's office did not release the name of the juvenile victim.
