• Both Suspects Found Guilty in Kern County First-Degree Murder Case (crimevoice.com) — A Kern County jury has convicted two men of first-degree murder in the 2024 killing of Emanuel Gonzalez at Georgetown and Field Street in Lamont, with both facing life without parole. Investigators say the victim was lured to Lamont for a marijuana sale arranged via Snapchat, then shot and robbed. Sentencing is set for late June and early August.
