• Court Sets Trial Date for Driver Accused of Plowing into Crowd at Nightclub (mynewsla.com) — A Lawndale resident, Efrain Villalobos, faces felony charges tied to a shooting that followed a car plowing into a crowd outside an East Hollywood nightclub, where more than 30 people were injured. The driver, from San Clemente, now has an October 5 trial date on dozens of attempted murder and assault counts, with victims describing lasting physical and emotional impacts.
