• Lemon Grove leaders select Tony Winney as permanent city manager (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Lemon Grove's City Council has chosen interim city manager Tony Winney to take the job permanently, with a three-year contract running through 2029. With decades of experience in regional city management, he'll oversee day-to-day operations and budgets once the council formally approves his agreement at its September 1 meeting.
