Livermore Hosting 'Vision Zero' Community Meeting To Eliminate Traffic Fatalities & Injuries

The Livermore Vision Zero Action Plan is part of a global initiative to design a roadway system with no fatalities or serious injuries.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore is hosting an in-person meeting Wednesday to discuss the Livermore Vision Zero Action Plan, part of a global initiative to design a roadway system with no fatalities or serious injuries.

Livermore is developing its own Vision Zero Action Plan with the goal of eliminating fatal and severe injury crashes. 11 fatalities and 46 severe injury crashes took place in Livermore from 2020 to 2024, according to city data. The city began developing its plan in September 2025, and aims to present a draft Vision Zero Action Plan report in March 2026. The group hopes to bring the report to the Livermore City Council by June 2026.

At Wednesday's meeting, residents will be able to learn about the project's goals, review priority areas and proposed safety recommendations, and share input.
