Livermore Police Seek Answers After Bicyclist Found Unconscious On Isabel Avenue

Police are asking drivers to check dashcam footage to determine how a 64-year-old cyclist was seriously injured.

LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore Police Department is seeking the public’s help to determine how a 64-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured Saturday night on Isabel Avenue.

At approximately 9:54 p.m., a driver called police after seeing a man lying unconscious in the bicycle lane on southbound Isabel Avenue, just south of the Stanley Boulevard connector, police said. The man was transported to a local hospital with significant injuries, and remains hospitalized as of Wednesday night.

Investigators are trying to determine the circumstances leading to the incident, and what caused the man’s injuries. Anyone traveling in the area around the time of the incident is asked to come forward if they saw anything that could help determine what happened. Drivers are asked to check their dash cameras or other vehicle-recording systems for footage captured along Isabel Avenue near the Stanley Boulevard connector around 9:54 p.m on Aug. 15.
