Analysts blame global conflicts disrupting oil supplies and boosting refining margins, and say prices may only ease later in the fall if Middle East tensions cool. The CHP is still investigating the cause and seeking witnesses, while school officials have not yet publicly commented on the student athlete and chess player's death.
   

4. AI pushes Tri-Valley schools to rethink academic honesty (livermorevine.com) — Tri-Valley schools, including Livermore Valley Joint Unified, are rethinking what counts as cheating as artificial intelligence tools spread into classrooms. While San Ramon and Dublin have formal guidance, LVJUSD is forming an AI Task Force to review current rules, address privacy and academic integrity, and craft clearer expectations for how students and teachers can use AI responsibly.
