As housing space shrinks, Lodi plans for next phase of growth (lodinews.com) — Lodi officials say the city has room for only about 410 more single-family homes and could exhaust available housing land within two to three years, prompting talks on annexation and new funding tools. Interim City Manager Aaron Busch urged a long‑range growth and financing plan, including possible new community facilities districts, before expanding utilities and services into future east and west side developments.
   

2. San Joaquin County Superior Court Announces Temporary Changes to Clerk's Office Hours (caravannews.com) — If you use the Lodi Branch Courthouse, expect shorter clerk counter and phone hours from June 15 through October 30 while San Joaquin County rolls out a new case management system. Courtrooms and jury service continue as normal, but residents are encouraged to use drop boxes, eFiling, and to note that Lodi’s drop box is outside Departments L1 and L2.
   

3. Lodi Fire assists in Tracy warehouse blaze (lodinews.com) — Lodi Fire Department’s Engine 2033 joined multiple agencies Thursday to battle a massive warehouse blaze at Medline Industries in Tracy, where a distribution center was fully engulfed and a second building threatened. Crews evacuated the facility, secured the perimeter, and urged drivers to avoid the area while Lodi firefighters provided mutual aid alongside Stockton, Mountain House, Lathrop‑Manteca and Manteca departments.
   

4. Immigrant truck driver to stand trial in California freeway crash that killed 2 (kentucky.com) — A truck driver accused of causing a deadly four‑vehicle crash on Highway 99 near Lodi in May has been ordered to stand trial and is now being held without bail. Prosecutors say the collision near Harney Lane killed two people and injured others, and the defendant also faces separate federal immigration allegations.
   

5. 'It just dwarfs everything,' Ground view offers glimpse of massive Tracy warehouse fire (kcra.com) — A massive warehouse fire in Tracy sent up such a huge plume of smoke that it was clearly visible from Lodi, prompting officials to urge residents across the region to stay indoors and close windows. Fire crews from multiple agencies, along with state emergency support units, are battling the blaze and managing road closures and evacuations while investigators work to learn how it started and whether anyone was hurt.
