Random encounters with kind and friendly neighbors or citizens of Long Beach. Nice moments of small exchanges of interests and talks to learn something new about someone new.
Why are you especially thankful for this?
It makes me feel like I'm part of a community that notices and cares for each other, even if the moment is brief and in the present. It changed my mood on a rough day.
Is there a special moment or memory from 2026 you'd like to share?
The kind neighbor who gave me an eating tip at the grocery store. The neighbor who chatted me up about music and work. The neighbors who smile and say hello or encourage me on my runs. All special moments.
