57, 60 Freeway Closures Planned This Weekend In San Gabriel Valley

SAN DIMAS, CA — Drivers traveling through the San Gabriel Valley should prepare for an extended weekend closure affecting the 210 and 57 freeways, Caltrans announced.

Additional closures are also planned this weekend on the 60 Freeway.

The westbound 210 connector to the southbound 57 will be fully closed from 9 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday, for work on a lighting rehabilitation and sign panel replacement project.

The San Dimas Avenue on-ramp to the westbound 210 will also be closed during the same period.

Caltrans said traffic will be detoured during the closures.

Drivers traveling from the westbound 210 to the southbound 57 should exit at San Dimas Avenue, turn left onto San Dimas Avenue and right onto Allen Avenue. Drivers can continue onto Auto Center Drive and turn left onto the southbound 57 on-ramp.

Northbound drivers seeking to enter the westbound 210 from San Dimas Avenue should continue north, turn right onto Foothill Boulevard and then turn right onto the westbound 210 on-ramp.

Drivers on San Dimas Avenue heading to the southbound 57 should continue south, turn left onto Allen Avenue, continue onto Auto Center Drive and turn left onto the southbound 57 on-ramp.

Those heading to the westbound 210 should continue south on San Dimas Avenue, turn left onto Allen Avenue, continue onto Auto Center Drive, turn right onto Lone Hill Avenue and then turn left onto the westbound 210 on-ramp.

The closure schedule is subject to change, according to Caltrans.

The closure comes as a separate set of closures is planned farther south, at the confluence of the 57 and 60 freeways.

The 60 Freeway will fully shut down overnight.
