Calling all Christian music fans!
All are welcome to the official online record release party for “A Mighty Fortress is Our God” by Robby Robinson and Andrea Hammond, who are no strangers to the top of the Hypeddit Charts, as accomplished recording artists, who previously enjoyed a #1 hit single with “Lord of Life”.
When it comes to contemporary revivals of classical hymns, nobody creates professionally and soulfully re-imagined musical arrangements, quite like Robby Robinson, and nobody commands a song as impressively and expressively as vocalist and violinist, Andrea Hammond.
While both artists are highly accomplished and proficient in multiple genres of secular and sacred music…their Christian compositions and arrangements possess a unique depth and spiritual vibe which touches the mind, heart and soul of believers, and awakens a sense of faith in non-believers, as well as those who have strayed, and are seeking God’s Grace.
And, when your songwriter just so happens to be none other than Martin Luther, himself, yes, THAT Martin Luther, the founder of the Lutheran faith, you can rest assured a 500+ year old musical composition is destined to become a #1 hit song.
In fact, “A Mighty Fortress is Our God” presently resides at the #1 and #2 spots in Classical Music Downloads on the Hypeddit charts.
Robby Robinson’s choice of Andrea Hammond for this collaboration was spot-on. These two highly experienced musicians have scored additional previous hit songs with “Give It Some Thought”, "Go To Dark Gethsemane", “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross”, and of course, their signature song, “Lord of Life”.
“I'm so excited to share something very special with you! As we approach Reformation Day, we're celebrating one of the most powerful hymns ever written — Martin Luther's "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" — with a brand-new recording featuring the extraordinary 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐝 on violin and vocals, and yours truly on piano! And we've created a spectacular new music video to bring this timeless hymn to life!”, said arranger, producer and keyboardist Robby Robinson. “Tonight, on Jam’ n Java, I'll take you behind the scenes of this very special project, share the story behind the music, and we'll experience the brand-new video together! Nearly 500 years after Luther gave the world this magnificent hymn, its message is as powerful as ever.”
Andrea Hammond and Robby Robinson are both professional musicians, who also share their God-given talents at Trinity Lutheran Church in Simi Valley, California.
