Los Angeles Man Wins $1.48M From Powerball Ticket

He bought a $20 Quick Pick at a 7-Eleven and scanned it days later, the California Lottery said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Amos Tillet won $1,478,686 from a Powerball ticket he bought at a 7-Eleven on the 5700 block of Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles, according to the California Lottery.

Tillet said he purchased $20 in Powerball Quick Pick plays, left the tickets in his car for a couple of days, then scanned them at home and saw the prize amount.

“I ran around the living room and, I kind of like, fell out in joy,” Tillet told the California Lottery.
