4. Trusted Manager Stole $2.56M From Family-Run LA Fashion Company: Prosecutors (patch.com) — A longtime credit and accounting manager for family-run fashion brand Karen Kane is accused of siphoning more than $2.5 million from company accounts while working in the Los Angeles area. Lineage Logistics finishes bulk food removal at warehouse (wavepublication.com) — Cleanup at Lineage Logistics' burned Boyle Heights warehouse has reached a key stage, with all bulk rotting food finally removed and final site cleaning now on a seven-day clock. The Los Angeles City Council and Mayor Karen Bass are pushing new rules, fines, and state legislation to hold cold storage companies accountable and prioritize sanitation and housing enforcement in affected Boyle Heights neighborhoods.
