Raging Driver Charges At Couple Walking Dog In LA, Chasing Pedestrians Into Park: Video

LOS ANGELES — A couple is reeling from what they say was an unprovoked attack last week in the Mid-Wilshire area, where a motorist shouted at them before driving off the road and into a local park in pursuit of the frightened pedestrians, reports said.

The couple and their dog — identified by both KTLA and FOX 11 only as Ben, Celine and dachshund Olive — were out for a walk shortly before 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at 9th Street and Lucerne Boulevard, bordering Harold Henry Park.

They were on the phone while standing at the intersection, and waved a driver through, at which point the motorist started yelling at them, asking if they spoke English and punctuating the question with an expletive, the couple told KTLA.

They put down the phone and told him to move along, but he responded by driving straight at them, up into the park, as the couple fled, before the driver turned around, swearing and shouting again, then speeding away, KTLA reported.

“It was terrifying and it happened so fast,” Ben told KTLA.

Security and Uber dashboard cameras captured some of the incident, as published by KTLA.

The vehicle, an orange 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage, has the Colorado license plate No. EWUW29, according to FOX 11, which reported that the couple filed a police report and that anyone who sees the car should call 911 immediately.
