Wes Anderson, Luke Wilson Get Trapped In A Museum Elevator Together: Video

LOS ANGELES, CA — Director Wes Anderson, actor Luke Wilson and producer James L. Brooks were among those who got trapped in an elevator Monday night at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, according to reports.

The trio, along with several others, were stuck in the elevator for less than an hour before the Los Angeles Fire Department responded, TMZ reported. The Hollywood Reporter reported the group was trapped for about 30 minutes.

They were at the museum for an event celebrating the 30th anniversary of Anderson's “Bottle Rocket,” the film that served as Wilson's screen debut, according to reports.

A video shared on Instagram by production specialist Carolyn Dunn showed Anderson and Brooks leaving the elevator as firefighters stood nearby. In the clip, Anderson asked what went wrong, and a firefighter said there was “probably” too much weight in the elevator, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

TMZ reported that LAFD responded at 7:49 p.m. to a call involving a stuck elevator at the museum. The group had been leaving the sold-out anniversary screening, according to the outlet.
