• Weeklys acquires Los Altos Town Crier (losaltosonline.com) — Los Altos' longtime weekly newspaper, the Town Crier, has been acquired by Weeklys Media Group, which promises to continue its strong focus on local coverage. The paper will remain based in downtown Los Altos, serving residents in town and Los Altos Hills with a weekly circulation of about 15,000 while former owners stay on as consultants. 
• High school football 2026: Friday's Week 7 scores, Saturday's schedule (fresnobee.com) — Los Altos High football fans can celebrate a solid 40–21 win over Santa Clara in Week 7 action. The roundup also lists dozens of other Bay Area scores and today's remaining games, giving local sports followers a quick way to track rivals and upcoming matchups across the region.
