• VTA proposes new design for Highway 17/9 interchange in Los Gatos (mercurynews.com) — Los Gatos drivers could see big changes at the notoriously congested Highway 17/9 interchange, as VTA and Caltrans unveiled a proposed redesign that replaces the cloverleaf with a spread diamond and adds lanes, signals, and ramp metering. The project aims to cut cut-through traffic in town, improve bike and pedestrian safety, and create a new connection to the Los Gatos Creek Trail. Environmental review is nearing completion.
