• Aaron Rodgers' grant program commits $200K to 29 north state projects (chicoer.com) — Magalia schools and parks are getting a boost from Aaron Rodgers’ NorCal Fire Recovery grants, including funding for sports equipment, a school garden, and a youth disc golf course at Magalia Community Park. Several Paradise, Oroville, and Ridge-area youth programs are also receiving support, all focused on health, wellness, and recovery for local kids after recent disasters.
   

• Magalia man pleads no contest to soliciting sex from minor in sting (actionnewsnow.com) — A Magalia resident has pleaded no contest in Butte County Superior Court to charges stemming from sexually explicit messages sent during a Chico Police sting, and will have to register as a sex offender. He also faces sentencing in May on a related DUI charge. Chico Police are asking anyone with information or possible victim experiences to contact their Detective Bureau.
