PCH Shut Down Following Malibu Crash

Pacific Coast Highway was expected to remain shut down following a crash Monday morning.

MALIBU, CA — Pacific Coast Highway was expected to remain shut down for the entire day Monday after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole.

The crash was reported at 3:20 a.m. Monday on the 28000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

No one was hospitalized as a result of the crash. Authorities have not released additional details about the nature of the collision.

The crash left a utility pole damaged, prompting the closure of PCH between Paradise Cove Road and Kanan Dume Road, according to authorities.

PCH was expected to remain closed to traffic in both directions at Paradise Cove for the remainder of the day as crews work to repair the downed pole, Malibu city officials said Monday morning.
