Director (mantecabulletin.com) — Manteca has named longtime city staffer Brandy Clark as director of the newly combined Parks, Recreation & Transit Department, overseeing parks, facilities, events, and transit services. The city also promoted Vanessa Carrera to drive economic development and confirmed veteran employee Aaron Jeffery as Assistant Director of Streets and Compliance, all aimed at supporting Manteca’s growth and quality of life.
   

• New Walmart Supercenter planned for Manteca's Atherton and Main (abc10.com) — A new Walmart Supercenter is planned for Atherton Drive and Main Street in Manteca, with room for 11 additional businesses that could boost shopping, dining, and entertainment in the south part of town. City officials also promise to quickly repurpose the current Walmart site to avoid a long-term vacancy.
   

• Rock fall inside tunnel project for SSJID kills a consulting team member (mantecabulletin.com) — A worker was killed after a rock fall inside the Canyon Tunnel project that helps carry water toward Manteca and other SSJID communities. The $80 million bypass aims to replace unstable century‑old tunnels and canals, and officials stress the project is critical to maintaining reliable water deliveries for Manteca, Lathrop, Tracy, and thousands of acres of farmland.
