• A grapevine-killing pest reached the Ukiah Costco • The Mendocino Voice (mendovoice.com) — Mendocino County residents who bought grapevines at the Ukiah Costco since April 21 are being urged to call the county agricultural commissioner because the plants may carry a pest that spreads a deadly grapevine disease. State and local officials are scrambling to track down buyers, but privacy rules limit access to Costco’s customer records, leaving much of the response dependent on residents stepping forward. 
• Boonville man arrested after running away from overdose scene • The Mendocino Voice (mendovoice.com) — Mendocino County deputies say a Boonville man fled medical staff after being revived with Narcan, leading to a hazardous foot chase in which a deputy was injured. The man was later detained, booked into the Mendocino County jail on drug-related suspicions, and released with a promise to appear in court; investigators are asking locals to share any additional information.
